MEET GERMAINE
Professional Background
Germaine is a licensed hairstylist and a certified hair loss specialist, which allows her to team up with local medical professionals such as Dermatologists and Oncologists. Before her certification in non-surgical hair loss replacement, she served and volunteered as a class facilitator with the American Cancer Society’s “Look Good Feel Better” program to assist women undergoing chemotherapy treatment. As part of her ongoing education in the battle with hair loss, she is fully trained in assessing the best hair replacement products for each person.
She uses various tools to take proper head measurements, create molds, and source the best quality hair to help people feel like themselves again. To get a first-hand understanding of the issue, I joined the American Cancer Societies’ “Look Good Feel Better” program and volunteered as a wig stylist, fitter, and class facilitator at my local hospital. During that time, I met many incredible women fighting all sorts of cancers who desperately wanted to keep their hair but could not due to chemotherapy treatments that left them with thinning or no hair.
I learned from many of these women that when you are fighting a deadly disease like cancer, image is everything; it’s essential to look and feel the best you possibly can. That volunteer work helped me figure out how I could apply my knowledge and skill to combat hair loss in a non-surgical way.
Knowing what I had to do, I signed up to work with a well-known international wig company that sold wigs for women dealing with alopecia. Those wigs were gorgeous and well-made but too expensive for the average woman to afford. As a certified hair loss replacement specialist, my goal is to help solve the problem of hair loss that some people experience during their lifetime due to medical issues.
I, truly understand how you feel because I too, have lost some of my hair, so I understand how you feel. My goal is to help you to look great and feel better about yourself again!
